The Sebel Resort & Spa Hawkesbury Valley

Address: 61 Hawkesbury Valley Way
Phone: 02 4577 4222

Approximately an hour’s drive from Sydney, the Sebel Resort is the perfect stopover for overnight travellers on their way west.

Set in a pastoral setting – the greens of the golf course – and overlooking a diminutive charming water feature surrounded by mature trees, the Sebel features spacious guest rooms and suites. A popular choice for business conferences, the resort offers a host of activities, including golf at nearby courses, tennis or bocce by the lake. Our favourite is a wake-up swim followed by a lazy brunch in the Gazebo Restaurant and the weekend paper.

And if a weekend of pampering is your thing, there are many rejuvenating and therapeutic treatments available at the magnificent Villa Thalgo Day Spa.

If you are thinking of a Hawkesbury wedding, Sebel Resort has function rooms that will satisfy all your needs. They offer special rates and packages from time to time, so check out the website when planning your trip to Windsor.

Tizzana Bed & Breakfast

Address: 518 Tizzana Road, Ebenezer
Phone: 02 4579 1150

The luxurious Tizzana Winery Bed & Breakfast is just 15 minutes from Windsor. Situated on a winding road through rural horse and wine country, this 5-star bed and breakfast overlooking a lily farm is just “what the doctor ordered”.

Built by Dr Thomas Fiaschi (c. 1887), the original building burnt down in 1955, leaving only a stone shell. Today, after much painstaking and back-breaking work, this National Trust-listed building houses a winery and upstairs, a very fashionable B&B.
Two bedroom suites are beautifully decorated and furnished with handsome wooden pieces. You can also unwind in a rustic living area complete with large leather couches.

Peter and Carolyn Auld have designed a most unusual arrangement; if you wish, you can plan your stay with an intimate dinner for a special occasion. A gay-friendly establishment, the Tizzana setting is stylish and relaxing, truly a touch of Tuscany in the Hawkesbury.
